Prepayment and Discount Terms

NELINET members are encouraged to prepay for all services. As an incentive, discounts are available for most OCLC programs and services under the AIA Option.

NELINET requires libraries to deposit sufficient funds in their AIA accounts to cover their anticipated expenses for a twelve-month period.

AIA payments for libraries on a July 1-June 30 fiscal year will be due September 30. Libraries with different fiscal years may make individual arrangements with NELINET.

Libraries receive AIA discounts as long as there are sufficient funds in their deposit accounts to cover current charges. When a library does not have sufficient funds to pay current charges from its account, it will automatically be charged at the standard MAF rate, 30 days net.

If the library subsequently deposits sufficient funds to cover any past due charges and estimated charges for the remainder of the year, it will again qualify for AIA discounts.
