Arlene Freed, Assistant Director/Manager of Web-Based Resources, Hartford Hospital Health Science Libraries
Arlene Freed, MLS, AHIP is Assistant Director/Manager of Web-Based Resources in the Hartford Hospital Health Science Libraries, Hartford Connecticut. Arlene graduated from Northeastern University and Southern Connecticut State University. She has worked in the Health Science Libraries for 16 years. There, Arlene worked in the Medical Library, The Robinson Nursing Library, the Gerontology Resource Center, she has been a Reference Librarian and the Education Librarian before managing the Libraries' web-based resources, including the Libraries' Intranet and Internet pages. Arlene has presented at professional meetings and has published in the Journal of Electronic Resources for Medical Libraries. |

Debbie Herman, Digital Resources Librarian, Central Connecticut State University
Susan Slaga, Assistant Reference Librarian, Central Connecticut State University
Debbie Herman is Digital Resources Librarian at Central Connecticut State University, New Britain, CT. Debbie has been involved with library technology for the last decade and is a frequent presenter on topics ranging from web design and usability to Web 2.0. She holds an MLS from SUNY Buffalo and an MA in American Studies from Trinity College.
Susan Slaga is an Assistant Reference Librarian at Central Connecticut State University where she teaches a one-credit information literacy class and has been involved with making online tutorials, assisting with the redesign and usability testing of the library website, and producing podcasts. She has been published in the report "Training College Students in Information Literacy" and the Encyclopedia of American Business. She received her MLIS from Simmons College, Boston, MA. |

Ken Liss, Communication Librarian at Boston College, has been the project leader for LibGuides @ BC. A librarian since 1992, he has led the development of new information and communication products and processes at BC and in previous positions at the Harvard Business School, the Kirstein Business Branch of the Boston Public Library, and Associated Grant Makers’ Resource Center for Philanthropy. |
