| Description: |
This course will concentrate on understanding and applying Library
of Congress Classification (LCC) subdivision techniques. Through
examples and exercises participants will learn about using tables,
cutter numbers, and other methods used in LCC for subdivision. We
will concentrate on examples and exercises from the P, H, and L
classifications. |

- The relationship between LCC collection arrangement and notation
- LCC subdivision techniques
- Applying tables
- Geographic subdivision
- Using ranges of numbers and cutter numbers for subdivision
