In this hands-on course, participants will learn all about blogging. We will review how librarians are using blogs to communicate with users and with colleagues both in and outside of the library. In addition, we will look at a variety of software options, how to set up a blog, and what resources you will need to host your own. |
| You will learn about: |
- Different blogging software
- How to create a blog, both hosted by a vendor and on your local network
- How to create RSS/Atom feeds
- Examples of how blogs are being used in libraries
- Ideas on how you may want to use a blog in your institution
- How to set up multiple users and/or sections on your blog
- How to customize the look of your blog
