OCLC Local Holdings Maintenance (Union List)

Description: Learn the basics of how to report your local holdings to OCLC, using OCLC’s new Local Holdings Maintenance system through the OCLC Connexion Browser. The course will cover what you need to know to create, edit, and delete Local Holdings records.
You will learn about:
  • Searching and navigating in the Connexion Browser interface
  • Creating new Local Holdings Records
  • Editing and maintaining your Local Holdings Records
  • Deleting Local Holdings Records
  • Using MARC Format for Holdings Data (MFHD) for OCLC Local Holdings Maintenance
  • Local Holdings Maintenance for agents
  • Options for streamlining workflow (e.g. constant data, batchloading, etc.)
Time: Five hours
Location: This full day "Customized Training" session can be brought to your library at any time.
Who should attend: Anyone who maintains OCLC Local Holdings Records (formerly Local Data Records in OCLC Union List).
Cost: $995.00 per customized training event, plus expenses
