Description: Just how do you create online educational materials that are informative and useful? You don’t have to be a web wizard to make your own animated online lessons, complete with audio. Come to this hands-on workshop and learn what software is available as we develop a short tutorial. We’ll work through the process from choosing the task to putting your new creation online.
You will learn about:
  • Discuss why you may want put tutorials online
  • Take a look at what works pedagogically in a web environment
  • Review what software is available for different budgets
  • Hands-on work with one of the software packages
  • Tips on maintaining your tutorials
  • Possible resources to tap to help with development
Time: Five hours
Location: This full day "Customized Training" session can be brought to your library at any time.
Who should attend: information literacy specialists; library webmasters; staff responsible for training staff, student workers and pages
