Description: In this hands-on course we will use Adobe Captivate software to create web-based information literacy tutorials. We will review examples of information literacy tutorials from academic libraries, and discuss the steps in planning and creating tutorials that work with defined web-based training principles.
You will learn about:
  • Examples of information literacy tutorials in academic libraries
  • The steps in planning and creating tutorials
  • How web-based training principles can be used to create an effective online tutorial
  • Software options
Time: Five hours
Location: This full day "Customized Training" session can be brought to your library at any time.
Who should attend: Instruction and information literacy librarians, reference librarians, webmasters, and anyone interested in putting instructional materials online.
Cost: $995.00 per customized training event, plus expenses
