| Browse Events to see if this online course is currently being offered. |
| Description: |
AACR2 is in the process of being replaced by a new standard called RDA, or Resource Description and Access. When complete, RDA will provide a new set of guidelines and instructions that will cover description and access for resources in traditional and digital formats. RDA is based on FRBR (Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Records) model, so it’s important to understand FRBR as well. This online program will provide an overview of FRBR, an update on RDA, and a discussion of how libraries and library catalogs will be affected. |
| You will learn about: |
- Current developments in RDA
- Basic principles of FRBR in relation to RDA
- Impact of RDA and FRBR on libraries
