| Description: |
OCLC ILL is moving to the FirstSearch platform! This online course
focuses on the steps basic to a successful interlibrary loan using
the FirstSearch/ILL Staff View interface and provides an overview
and hands-on exercises of basic FirstSearch searching, as well
as OCLC ILL functionality. This course is appropriate for users
that are inexperienced in OCLC ILL, as well as for current users
of Passport or ILL Web who will be migrating to the FirstSearch/ILL

- Configuring the ILL Staff View through the FirstSearch Administrative
Module
- Searching WorldCat on FirstSearch
- Using constant data records and custom holdings in the FirstSearch/ILL
Staff View
- Producing requests for books and photocopies
Navigating the Request Manager (formerly the “Message
File”)
- Receiving and returning loans
- Responding to requests and completing transactions
