Backstage Library Works offers name
and subject authority control services to libraries. The authority
control process standardizes name, subject, series and uniform
title headings. BSLW uses National Authority Files to match and
deliver authority records to the library.
Backstage Library Works
prepares the bibliographic record and its authority headings for
processing. The headings are run against designated National name
and subject authority file databases. All main headings and see cross-references
are matched. The library can decide on profiling specifications and
decisions.
