new, next-generation cataloging system.
Connexion offers new functionality, including two easy-to-use interfaces
for WorldCat searching and editing, controlling headings (automated
heading verification), enhanced online save file, constant data
file searching and management, larger record size, support for Dublin
Core, and the ability to harvest metadata for cataloging Web resources.

Browser Interface: |
The Web-based, easy-to-use
interface to the Connexion cataloging system provides full OCLC online
cataloging functionality. Offers support for harvesting metadata to
catalog Web resources. Provides access to WebDewey and Abridged WebDewey
and to OCLC PICA database.
No additional software required, only a Web browser is needed.

Client Interface: |
The flexible and powerful
Windows-based software interface to the Connexion cataloging system provides
full OCLC online cataloging functionality, which includes menus, icons,
and customizable keystrokes available for every command. Macros allow
the cataloger to combine commands and execute them all with a single
keystroke, and batch
processing, offline editing, and local files allow the cataloger an opportunity to work more efficiently.

| Pricing: |
All OCLC Cataloging activity is on a subscription basis. There is no more transaction based or fixed-fee pricing.
Access (use of OCLC system) charges are also on a subscription basis, allowing for unlimited time online and unlimited users. This is a second, separate subscription! |
