Electronic Collections Online (ECO) |
OCLC FirstSearch Electronic Collections Online is OCLC's
Web-based electronic journals service designed especially for libraries.
The ECO Service features a single interface offering search and browse
access to more than
4,000 journals from a growing list of publishers. Subscribers
can access citation information for the entire online collection,
and abstracts and complete articles for their journal subscriptions.
In addition, articles are presented in full image and full color,
using HTML, Adobe PDF, or CatchWord's RealPage format.
Additional features include:
- An archiving solution that assures your institution of ongoing
access to the volumes you subscribe to. All publishers participating
in the service store a copy of their journals on OCLC's servers.
- Collection management tools, including a variety of authentication
methods, journal-level usage statistics, online and print documentation,
24 hours a day, 7 days a week access, and toll-free support.
- A group account management system that enables institutions
within a consortium to share access to common titles and access
uniquely held titles, through a single account. Usage statistics
include group summaries and institution-level detail.
