| Flat Fee Internet
Pricing Option |
Flat fee Internet pricing
allows a library to have unlimited connection to the OCLC system,
using the Internet, for a flat monthly fee. Libraries determine how
many users they need to have a connection to OCLC at the same time,
and pay a flat monthly fee, per simultaneous user, for unlimited access
for each simultaneous user.
Libraries may choose either to block users who log on beyond the alloted
number of simultaneous users, or allow use and pay a per minute charge
for the additional connect time. An "overflow" user remains
at the per minute price for the duration of their session, and is
not switched to a simultaneous user port if one becomes available
during their session. |
