1. Open TrendGauge in your favorite browser.

Option 1 - Using a Browser

Using Mozilla Firefox 1.x Browser

1. Open TrendGauge in Firefox.
2. In the status bar (lower right) you will see an icon (usually orange) at the far right of the bar.
3. Click on this icon. You will be prompted to subscribe to RSS.
4. Type in the name TrendGauge, and be sure it says Bookmarks Toolbar next to "Create in:".
5. Click OK. You will then see a new shortcut to TrendGauge in Firefox's toolbar.

To view TrendGauge, click on the shortcut in the toolbar. A menu opens to display the latest postings.

Using Mozilla Firefox 2.0 Browser

1. Open TrendGauge in Firefox.
2. In the address bar you will see an icon (usually orange) at the far right of the URL.
3. Click on this icon. You will see "Subscribe to this feed using:" and a pull-down menu. Select Live Bookmarks.
4. This will create a shortcut in Firefox's toolbar.

To view TrendGauge, click on the shortcut in the toolbar. A menu opens to display the latest postings.

1. Open TrendGauge in IE 7.0.
2. In the status bar you will see an icon (usually orange).
3. Click on this icon. You will see a brief description of the TrendGauge blog. Beneath this text click on "Subscribe to this feed".
4. You have now subscribed to TrendGauge. To view content,

To view TrendGauge, click on the yellow Favorites star, then on the Feeds icon. Click on TrendGauge to view postings.

Option 2 - Using an RSS Reader

   1. Click on Edit Subscriptions

To read new posts in your RSS reader, simply visit your reader's site. All new postings will show up in your reader.

1. Open TrendGauge in your favorite browser.
2. Under "Subscribe via RSS" click on Podcasts.
3. Copy the entire URL.
4. Open iTunes (iTunes is PC and Mac compatible).
5. In the Source panel (left side), click on Podcasts.
6. Go to the Advanced menu and select Subscribe to Podcast.
7. Paste the URL and click OK.
8. iTunes will download the most recent podcast. As new podcasts are added, they will automatically download when you open iTunes.

Following each post is a section for comments, where you can write a response, ask questions, or share an alternate viewpoint. In order to reduce blog comment spam, all members will be required to create an account before posting a comment the first time.

To Create an Account:

• Open TrendGauge in your favorite browser.
• Click "Register" from the "Meta" menu on the right.
• Enter a username and your email address. Your username will be displayed when you comment.
• You will receive an email with a password. You may then use this information to log in. You can change your password the first time you log in.
